Paper Crafting - Paste Paper 5APR
Time & Location
About the Event
What is Paste Paper? Paste Paper is a patterned or textured paper made by applying brushes and hand tools to the surface of a paper that has been coated with thin colored paste and is still wet. It was originally used in the binding of books for both cover papers and end papers in the 16th century.
In this class we will be experimenting with layering paint colors and textures to create a variety of designs. The papers you create in this class can be used for note cards, collages, scrapbooking, bookbinding or even on their own as a piece of artwork. Each person will leave with 4 to 6 pieces of paste paper - 8.5” x 11” each.
